About Me

I am Dr. Adeline (Addie) Bortz (she/her), a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY34667) providing evidence-based care to youth, adolescents, and young adults. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach involving components of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and structural family therapy.

I earned my master’s and doctorate degrees at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium and specialized in pediatric psychology during my pre-doctoral internship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine where I trained in the areas of solid organ transplant, stem cell transplant, pediatric consultation-liaison, and oncology.

I have a warm and genuine therapeutic approach, guiding clients in their understanding of their emotional experiences and building self-compassion. As a gender-affirming provider, I strive to support gender diverse individuals in exploring their authentic identities and compassionately assist families in their journey of supporting their gender expansive family member.
